Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of birdsift.com, app.birdsift.com, and the BirdSift Chrome extension (together, the “Service”), operated by BirdSift (“we”, “us”).

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

BirdSift helps you find local businesses that have no website or an outdated one, using search queries verified against Google Places and other third-party data sources.

The Chrome extension is a launcher only: it reads the URL of your active browser tab to prefill a search and opens app.birdsift.com with your query. It does not store data on its own.

You need an account to run searches in the web app. You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping your login credentials secure.

The Service is billed on a credit basis, as described on our Pricing page. Credits are consumed when you run searches, look up emails, or generate outreach drafts. Purchased credits are non-refundable except where required by law.

We may change credit pricing or packs at any time; changes apply to future purchases, not credits you already hold.

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, or restrict or inhibit the use of, the Service by anyone else.

You will not scrape, resell, or redistribute data obtained through the Service in bulk, attempt to bypass credit limits, reverse-engineer the Service, or use it in a manner that violates Google's Places Platform Terms of Service or any other third-party provider terms we rely on.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or misuse the Service.

BirdSift surfaces business listing data from third-party sources such as Google Places. We do not guarantee that this data is complete, accurate, or up to date, and we are not responsible for decisions made based on it.

You are responsible for complying with applicable laws (including anti-spam and data protection laws) when contacting businesses using leads found through the Service.

The Service, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by BirdSift and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.

You retain ownership of data you upload or save in your workspace (such as saved leads and notes).

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BirdSift is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
